Stamp: Hair

This illustration was made in 2014, long before Mr. Trump’s announcement for running for president/his presidency.

As part of my advertising illustration class, we learned that illustrators will sometimes be hired to create a new stamp for the post, and that’s what this project was based on. It could be anything we wanted, so long as it based on the central theme of “hair”. Since drawing realistic style portraiture is difficult for me, I decided to play toward’s my strengths and do a cartoon style approach. I wanted an overall humorous approach to my stamp, so I opted for a caricature style illustration of my chosen subject. I tend to work better with a traditional medium with illustration, so the original drawing is traditionally drawn and rendered. To add a further sense of humor, I decided to make the stamp a forever stamp instead of a standard stamp because of who my subject matter is of.
