Political Poster Series

Presidential elections now a days have become a circus, full of he said, she said, and fingers be pointed in an effort to distract from real issues. I wanted to carry that concept over and add further humor with caricatures of the political candidates at the time (2012 election). I wanted to portray the message of getting educated so that our elections don’t turn into the worst jokes of our lives. To do so, the message remained neutral, urging viewers to get educated on important matters to make their own informed decisions.

For each poster, there is a caricature of each candidate representing a particular issue that they are each addressing during their campaigns. Underneath each character, are their opinions on each issue with a large VOTE call to action at the bottom. Since my main TA was the youth of America (ages 18-25), I added a scannable QR code next to each candidate that would take you directly to their site specifically on the issue being presented. This way, my TA could get further educated on the topic and make a better-informed decision for themselves.
